
Helena Attlee
Helena Attlee is the author of The Land Where Lemons Grow, The Story of Italy and its Citrus Fruit, a Sunday Times bestseller, BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week, and winner of the Guild of Food Writers Food Book of the Year 2015. She is an experienced teacher and lecturer who made the cultural history of gardens her special subject many years ago, and she has published several books, many of them with photographs by her husband, Alex Ramsay. The Gardens of Portugal (Frances Lincoln) was published in 2008. Helena also designs and leads garden tours all over the world, introducing her guests to unexpected aspects of culture and history in the countries they visit. She is a regular feature writer for a number of magazines, a Consultant Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund, and she teaches academic writing in universities all over Britain.
